Home Civ V Geometry Dash ShellShock Live About
This game was recommended to me by a friend a few years ago. I saw that he was playing it a lot during freetime at school, so I decided to hit some of my money (15$) on this thing. We were jamming for quite a fun while! That is until he lost interest... However, I still quite enjoy this game, and there are still a lot of people who are spending a majority of time playing this game, so I'm guessing the community is going to be alive for a while!

5 categories. 5 categories to review whatever the hell this game is about and how well it peforms. Gameplay, Story, Graphics, Cost, and Originality.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very very simple. It is essentially a multiplayer game where players play as tanks that shoot each other. Aiming and taking physics/gravity to mind is essential to land your shots on the enemy. Changing your position might also prove worthy to take shelter/claim better ground. It's a nice physics game with hints of action. However, what makes the gameplay of this game even better, is that kChamp decided to get extremely creative with their shot types. Some shots have extremely skillful attack methods, while others are just downright chaos. You can fire shots ranging from a splitting cactus, a kamikaze fighter, and even a defecating seagull. You start with a pretty decent default weaponry, and unlock more and more weapons as you complete challenges or level your tank up. You can upgrade your weaponry to become more versatile by using them in battles. The wide array of shots to fire make for an exciting game, although there is the fact that some are better than others.

Story

Sigh... It sounds disappointing, but none of the games I have reviewed actually have stories. Crap right? Crap... However, there is a singleplayer campaign in the game, which you can play if you want to level up a bit or get new weapons...

Graphics

The graphics aren't exactly what makes the game good. They're realtively simple, with solid colors making up most of the palette of the game. Some weapons are better looking in terms of effects and flashiness, such as the nuke or god rays, but the graphics aren't especially something you can make a great comment about. They're okay.

Cost

The cost is great, being 7$ for the entire game. As simple as the game is, it's very fun and there is a strong replayability element in the game. The multiplayer games are meant to be short, and you can have good fun with the people you play with and make friends! There will always be someone to invite you to a ShellShock Live game, and you would be having fun with them playing this game! The level system is something that takes a good amount of time for a player to improve, and that's something that can potentially tell players to come back for more. There is also in-game currency that is needed to buy some features. The good thing about this currency however, is that it can only be earned ingame and not through microtransactions, which makes some people come back for more. The best thing though, is the kChamp is updating the game very actively, and more and more weapons are being developed every day, which means more content for free if you have the game! Overall, it's a generous price!

Originality

The Physics genre was extremely popular among flash games, and it still is today. kChamp games is a one-man company which started by making flash games as well. It started all the way back in 2008, and it birthed ShellShock Live as a flash game in 2011. The multiplayer physics game was original and fun. He added multiple shots, live gameplay, and great physics as always. ShellShock Live (the full version which I am reviewing) is no different, but he continues to add more and more to it as I mentioned before. With all the different weapons avaliable to use with different functions, it's safe to say that kChamp games is good to go!
